Jim began his broadcasting career as a deejay in the Detroit area, and at one time, was the television play-by-play announcer for the Detroit Pistons, and play-by-play man for Detroit Tiger spring training games.  Jim also anchored television sports in Detroit on Ch's 2 and 4 and did work for ESPN, ESPN2, SPEED NETWORK, OLN-TV, ABC & CBS.  Jim also played himself in the movie "Madison".  He's musical too, playing 9 different instruments, and sang with the group THE FOUR SCORES.  CLICK HERE to see a picture of Jim's son Chad meeting Wayne Newton at Cypress Gardens Adventure Park.
